Amazon Web Services, Inc. in New York, NY is seeking an insurance industry solutions architect to join our fast-paced team and help drive worldwide AWS adoption in life and non-life insurance.

You will design, build and own enterprise-grade solution accelerators to streamline carriers, reinsurers, brokers and other intermediaries on cloud-native architectures. The role requires deep industry expertise and collaboration with internal engineering teams to tailor AWS services for insurance

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technology domain areas experience (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
• 5+ years of technology/software sales experience

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the Worldwide Insurance team in helping to identify use cases that are important to our insurance customers
• Research, define, and develop solutions accelerators and other assets that can help speed our insurance customers and partners in their efforts to develop innovative cloud-based solutions
• Coach field teams on the best use of the assets in their customer and partner initiatives
• Understand the unique technical requirements of insurance customers, and work closely with internal engineering teams to make best use of their services in the insurance industry assets, and to provide feedback on how to enhance services to better address customer requirements
• Prepare and present technical reviews on the state of the insurance assets, and business reviews on the use of those assets by customers and partners.
• Travel may be required for this role, up to 30%
