Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking an experienced billing professional to manage daily claims submissions and follow-ups. You will interact with insurers and patients, ensuring timely reimbursements and accurate coding. Strong communication skills and familiarity with hospital billing systems are required.

Responsibilities include routine claim follow-up, documentation of payor interactions, and adherence to UB04/HCFA 1500 guidelines. On-site work in a hospital setting.

Formación

• 1 year of experience in insurance billing or collections.
• Knowledge of hospital business office functions.
• Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
• Familiar with medical terminology, including diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Must be able to type 45 words per minute.
• Proficient with Epic Resolute, Dentrix or similar billing systems.

Responsabilidades

• Performs daily billing of claims to third-party insurance following UB04/HCFA 1500 guidelines.
• Prepares and submits final bills, secondary claims, rebills and late charges daily.
• Performs routine follow-up on unpaid claims to resolve delays.
• Documents communications with payors and guarantors in the system.
• Prioritizes accounts in the work queue to ensure timely submissions.
• Assists with adherence to payment and denials workflows and procedures.
• Maintains knowledge of payer requirements and compliance.
