Job summary

Ally Financial is seeking a BL Risk Testing Analyst II to support development and execution of testing and monitoring activities for the Insurance business line. You will execute testing, identify process risks and controls, document results, and review findings with management.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in testing/auditing or risk management, and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in testing, auditing or risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree in business required; higher degrees or experience may substitute.
  • CPA or CIA preferred.
  • Familiarity with Ally Insurance products or F&I and/or P&C preferred.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, self-directed and organized.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong understanding of risk and control concepts.
  • Ability to understand a range of processes within the Insurance business line.
  • Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience in data analytics and analysis.
  • Proven ability to excel in highly interactive team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Independently execute assigned testing activities, including test of controls and validation/transactional testing.
  • Support program planning and execution.
  • Develop, execute and document testing in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Utilize analytical skills to provide consultation regarding emerging control practices.
  • Analyze business process and internal control documentation and develop written summary of findings for review with Management.
  • Identify root causes and provide meaningful recommendations.
  • Perform ad hoc projects to analyze Ally's risk and control environment.
  • Maintain open line of communication with management of assigned areas.
  • Work within defined plans and schedules.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business
Experience in testing, auditing or risk management
Familiarity with insurance products (F&I / P&C)

Work Schedule

Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity

The BL Risk Testing Analyst II plays a key role in supporting the development and execution of business process testing and monitoring activities for the Insurance business line. The position is responsible for executing testing and monitoring of assigned areas. Execution of testing includes identifying and assessing process risks and controls, flowcharting business processes including identifying and evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of controls, executing tests, documenting results, assessing review findings and making initial determination of reportable issues. During the process, completes work in accordance with Ally Financial testing and monitoring methodology.
