Position Overview

This role involves researching, obtaining authorizations, insurance verifications, clinical documentation, prescription information, and financial data to facilitate timely and cost-effective initiation of high-cost, high-risk medications for patients.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of experience in Prior Authorizations within a Pharmacy or Clinical setting
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Understanding of lab and clinical data within EMR systems
  • Knowledge of third-party payer and insurance processes
  • Professional communication with patients, peers, and providers
  • Ability to train new staff
  • Multitasking capabilities due to high call volume
  • Understanding of complex therapies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pharmacy technician or pharmacy billing experience with insurers and third-party payers
