Newport Healthcare is seeking an Insurance and Patient Collections Specialist to manage high-volume accounts receivable, resolve insurance discrepancies, and reduce delinquency while delivering excellent patient service.

You will analyze claims, use payor portals and EOBs, document actions, and collaborate with payors to adjudicate and appeal as needed, supporting accurate revenue cycle operations.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of high-volume collections experience.
• Accounts Receivable knowledge/experience preferred.

Insurance and Patient Collections Specialist

The Collections Specialist is responsible for administrative tasks, the collection of outstanding account receivables, all aspects of collection, analysis, and resolution of billing problems, and reducing accounts receivable delinquency.

• Provide customer service regarding collection issues.
• Resolve insurance discrepancies and short payments.
• Utilize knowledge of payor portals, automated clearing houses, explanation of benefits (EOB's), and other tools to successfully complete Accounts Receivable tasks.
• Document in detail problem/action/and follow up with insurance companies until claims are fully adjudicated.
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts.
• Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts.
• Initiate and resolve Appeals for many different insurance payers as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What Makes You a Great Fit

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Accounts Receivable knowledge/experience preferred.
