Job summary

Horace Mann invites you to join as an Exclusive Agent, offering performance-based 1099 compensation and a comprehensive incentive package. You’ll work in an exclusive niche market focused on educators, supported by a Premier Service Representative, cutting-edge technology, and a multiline product portfolio.

You’ll build relationships, present tailored solutions, and participate in market-building programs designed to grow your own agency and secure long-term success.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in insurance/financial services.
• Resident State General Lines Insurance Licenses: Life and Health, and Property & Casualty.
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 & 63 licenses (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement solutions that help educators secure affordable insurance and financial security.
• Achieve market access and build strong relationships with clients and groups.
• Confidently present products to both groups and individuals.
• Actively network at events and in the community to grow the business.
• Invest time and resources to ensure long-term success of the agency.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong interpersonal and business management skills to build and manage your agency
• 2-5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred)
• Resident State General Lines Insurance Licenses:

• Property and Casualty Insurance License
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 & 63 licenses (if applicable in your region)
