Job summary

Armed Forces Insurance is hiring for a New Member Sales Team member. The role focuses on helping prospective members find the right personal lines insurance solutions and building lasting relationships within the military community.

You will connect with members, provide superior service, and work with a collaborative team to grow our member base while maintaining high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Active P&C license in state of primary residence.
• 4+ years of direct customer service or relevant experience; Associate's or BA/BS may substitute; insurance experience preferred.
• Typing speed of at least 35 wpm.
• Strong written communications.
• Excellent verbal communications with professional grammar.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work according to established priorities and procedures.

Eligibility

• Spouse of an active-duty member of the Armed Forces
• Spouse of a member of the Armed Forces who is 100% disabled as a result of a service-connected injury
• Spouse of a deceased service member who was killed while on active duty
• *Note: Candidates must also reside at least 50 miles from AFI headquarters in Leavenworth, KS to be offered a fully remote role*

Residency Requirements

To be eligible for hire and maintain continued employment with Armed Forces Insurance, applicants must reside in one of the following approved states: AL, AZ, AR, IA, KS, LA, MO, NE, NC, OK, SC, TN, TX, UT, or VA.

Compensation

Starting Pay $49,925/yr - $58,246/yr, depending on experience.

This is the yearly rate of pay and not commission-based compensation.

Work From Home Requirements

This position is eligible as a full-time remote position for candidates whose residence is greater than a 50-mile radius to our Headquarters in Leavenworth, Kansas. Hired candidates will be required to attend their first week of employment onsite at AFI headquarters for onboarding and initial training.

• AFI will reimburse reasonable travel expenses to include transportation, lodging, and meals.

We're looking for individuals who bring strong communication skills, an analytical mindset, a passion for customer service, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Must Have Qualifications

• An active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license in your state of primary residence.
• At least 4 years of direct customer service or relevant experience
  • Associate's Degree or BA/BS Degree may be substituted for experience
  • Experience in the insurance or financial industry preferred
• Keyboard skills of at least 35 wpm
• Competent written communications skills
• Excellent verbal communications skills, to include a courteous, confident demeanor and appropriate use of grammar and vocabulary
• Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word
• Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to accomplish work according to established priorities and procedures

What Professional Education Requirements Do I Need To Obtain

• Ability to obtain non-resident licenses for all 50 states, within 90 days in the position, and to maintain unrestricted licensure thereafter.
