Job description

Client: Well-Known Medical Practice
Role: Insurance A/R Specialist
Pay Rate: $25/hr-$27/hr
Location: Fully Remote - (*Must be able to work EST Hours*)
Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm - (Monday - Friday)

What you'll do:

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will resolve insurance denials and aged receivables, mainly related to credentialing issues. You will collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Department, Contracting & Credentialing Team, and Software Support Team.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Research and resolve third-party denials, edits, and related correspondence
• Identify and analyze open claims
• Correct billing errors
• Resubmit claims to insurance carriers
• Maintain thorough knowledge of various insurance billing guidelines (government, WC, Auto, commercial, HMO, PPO, etc.) and exercise effective judgment in processing claims
• Monitor past due accounts for payment
• Contribute to a cohesive departmental team
