Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Machine Operator for Insulbar to support equipment setup, quality checks, and efficient material flow. You will ensure parts meet specifications, set up strut machinery, and maintain organized bundles while monitoring for defects.

The role emphasizes following instructions, basic computer use, and flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts with overtime potential, with prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills under time constraints.
• Effective communication skills with peers and management.
• Willingness to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts, with potential overtime.
• Preference for candidates with previous manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality checks during the Insulbar process, report issues to Tech or Supervisor.
• Assist Technician/Operator in locating and moving parts.
• Set up strut machines and cuts strut per the prioritized schedule, changing size and length as required.
• Maintain cut strut in neat, labeled bundles as well as coil strut in usage area keeping it stocked from the overflow. Ensure labels are placed on partial coils.
• Verify by die prints that all parts match and requirements of the assembly are met.
• Observe material as it runs looking for any visible defects.
