Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS, is seeking a joiner/insulator to remove, repair and install pipe insulation such as fiberglass, calcium silicate and rubatex on piping and ventilation systems. Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs and endure an 8‑hour workday in potentially challenging environments.

Three to four years of industrial pipe insulation experience in shipbuilding or related fields are required, with ability to work a production shift as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of Pipe Insulation experience in an Industrial, Marine, Shipbuilding or Petro-Chemical environment.
• Experience installing rubber insulation.
• Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs.

• Work in various shipboard environments and complete tasks efficiently.

The Role

Candidate will remove, repair and install various types of pipe insulation; including fiberglass, calcium silicate and rubatex from piping systems, ventilation systems and various components and structures through out the ship. Candidate must have the ability to lift 50 lbs., climb, crawl, bend, squat and stand 8 hours per day and work in various work environments.

Must Have

• 3-4 years of Pipe Insulation experience in an Industrial, Marine, Shipbuilding or Petro-Chemical environment with experience installing rubber insulation. Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs.
