Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Foreman to apply, remove, and repair insulation on equipment, pipes, and ducts, supporting temperature control and noise reduction.

The role requires reading blueprints, selecting materials, and leading on-site insulation work with attention to safety and quality, reporting to a supervisor, and coordinating with teams to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
• Works under immediate supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints, instructions, and other documentation or plan work activities.
• Determines insulation materials and quantities based on requirements and location.
• Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up the site.
• Seals and finishes insulated surfaces and access holes with covers, sealants, or tape.
• Fits insulation around obstructions and shapes insulating materials and protective coverings.
• Installs sheet metal around insulated pipes to protect insulation from weather or damage.
• Measures and cuts insulation using tape measures and tools.
• Prepares surfaces for insulation application and attaches fittings as needed.
• Covers insulation to secure it to structures using appropriate fasteners.
• Follows hazardous waste handling guidelines and safety procedures.
• MResponsible for observing safety rules and performing housekeeping duties.
