Job summary

Sunpro is seeking an Insulation Production Manager in Silt, CO to lead safe and efficient insulation production and installation aligned with Sunpro objectives. You will oversee labor, train installers, and optimize processes while coordinating with the sales team to ensure on-time completion of projects.

The role requires 3–5 years in building materials or construction with 2–3 years in management, plus strong leadership, safety orientation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma; 3–5 years in Building Materials, Construction, or related field.
• 2–3 years of management experience.
• Strong leadership with safety focus and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Visualize and implement company vision and core values.
• Set department goals, monitor labor productivity, and optimize financial performance.
• Establish and drive SOPs and installation guidelines.
• Supervise installation labor to meet customer and department needs.
• Train installers for quality and efficiency.
• Optimize installation processes per industry best practices.
• Coordinate with sales to schedule installations and ensure timely completion.
• Ensure work aligns with scope-of-work and maintains high quality.
• Maintain safe working environments and address hazards.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Manage inventory and warehouse; coordinate with installers for daily work orders.
• Oversee vehicles and equipment per policy.

JOB TITLE:Insulation Production Manager

JOB LOCATION:Silt, COSALARY:$55,000 - $85,000

FUNCTION:The Insulation Production Manager drives the safe and efficient production and installation of insulation jobs in accordance with customer needs and in alignment with Sunpro business objectives.

REPORTING TO:Insulation Location Manager

KEY ACTIVITIES:

• Visualize and implement Company vision and core values.
• Set department goals, monitor labor productivity, and optimize department financial performance.
• Establish and drive compliance with standard operating procedures and installation guidelines.
• Supervise installation labor to fulfill customer and department interests.
• Train and develop installers to ensure optimal project quality and efficiency.
• Optimize installation processes and workflows according to industry best practices.
• Communicate with sales team to coordinate installation schedules and ensure on- time completion of all projects.
• Ensure each finished job is executed according to scope-of-work requirements and is of the highest quality.
• Ensure the creation and maintenance of a safe working environment, identifying and addressing potential safety concerns and work hazards.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook, etc.
• Manage inventory and warehouse.
• Coordinate with installers to provide daily work orders and assist with daily preparations to get installers out to their jobs in an efficient manner.
• Manage vehicles and equipment in accordance with Company policy and standards.
• Perform other duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Strong leadership and team management skills. Able to drive individual and team performance towards a common goal.
• Strong familiarity with (or a desire to learn and master) the principles of Lean Production, Six Sigma, etc.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) as well as strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
• Able to effectively assess customer project and installation needs and to provide proactive solutions.
• Strong computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Able to function effectively as part of a high-performance team.
• Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment.
• Quantitative skills such as basic business accounting, etc.
• Strong systems and safety orientation.
• Demonstrate initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years’ experience in Building Materials, Construction, or a related field.
• 2-3 years’ management experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Physical Work Requirements - Heavy: exerting up to 50 lbs of force regularly.
• Repetitive motion associated with assembly and construction.
• Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity.
