Job summary

Sunpro is seeking an Insulation Production Manager in Silt, CO to lead the safe, efficient production and installation of insulation projects. You will align with customer needs and Sunpro objectives, directing installers and coordinating with the sales team for timely completion.

The role requires strong leadership, adherence to SOPs, and a focus on quality. The position emphasizes continuous improvement and a safe, productive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years in building materials, construction or related field.
• 2-3 years of management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead production and installation of insulation projects safely and efficiently.
• Set and monitor department goals; optimize productivity and financial performance.
• Develop and enforce SOPs and installation guidelines.
• Supervise installers to meet scope and quality requirements.
• Train and mentor installers for quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate with sales to plan installation schedules and on-time completion.
• Maintain safe work environment and address hazards.
• Manage inventory and warehouse operations.
• Oversee vehicle and equipment use per policy.

JOB TITLE:Insulation Production Manager

JOB LOCATION:Silt, CO
SALARY:$55,000 - $85,000

FUNCTION:The Insulation Production Manager drives the safe and efficient production and installation of insulation jobs in accordance with customer needs and in alignment with Sunpro business objectives.

REPORTING TO:Insulation Location Manager

KEY ACTIVITIES:

• Visualize and implement Company vision and core values.
• Set department goals, monitor labor productivity, and optimize department financial performance.
• Establish and drive compliance with standard operating procedures and installation guidelines.
• Supervise installation labor to fulfill customer and department interests.
• Train and develop installers to ensure optimal project quality and efficiency.
• Optimize installation processes and workflows according to industry best practices.
• Communicate with sales team to coordinate installation schedules and ensure on- time completion of all projects.
• Ensure each finished job is executed according to scope-of-work requirements and is of the highest quality.
• Ensure the creation and maintenance of a safe working environment, identifying and addressing potential safety concerns and work hazards.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook, etc.
• Manage inventory and warehouse.
• Coordinate with installers to provide daily work orders and assist with daily preparations to get installers out to their jobs in an efficient manner.
• Manage vehicles and equipment in accordance with Company policy and standards.
• Perform other duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Strong leadership and team management skills. Able to drive individual and team performance towards a common goal.
• Strong familiarity with (or a desire to learn and master) the principles of Lean Production, Six Sigma, etc.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) as well as strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
• Able to effectively assess customer project and installation needs and to provide proactive solutions.
• Strong computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Able to function effectively as part of a high-performance team.
• Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment.
• Quantitative skills such as basic business accounting, etc.
• Strong systems and safety orientation.
• Demonstrate initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years’ experience in Building Materials, Construction, or a related field.
• 2-3 years’ management experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Physical Work Requirements - Heavy: exerting up to 50 lbs of force regularly.
• Repetitive motion associated with assembly and construction.
• Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity.
