Job summary

Green Homeowners United in Milwaukee seeks an Insulation Installer to improve homes' comfort and energy efficiency by installing insulation and sealing air leaks.

The role involves learning building science principles, using power tools, and following safety protocols. Training is provided, with pay starting at $19.65 per hour.

This is a full-time position with 40 hours weekly, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, occasional overtime, and opportunities for advancement within the mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Willingness to learn insulation, air sealing, and general construction tasks.
• Basic tools and construction skills, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Install insulation materials (rigid foam, blown-in cellulose, fiberglass batts, spray foam) in attics, walls, and basements.
• Apply air sealing techniques to reduce energy loss.
• Perform tests (blower door, duct leakage, combustion safety) with training provided.
• Move safely in attics and crawlspaces; operate power tools and equipment.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members.
