Job summary

Attic Projects LLC is seeking an Attic and Crawl Space Technician to install insulation, conduct rodent proofing and sanitation, and assist with mold remediation and drywall tasks. Training is provided, with a typical start early and long workdays on-site in Texas.

You’ll use staple guns, power tools, PPE, and other equipment, with opportunities for advancement. Competitive pay and bi-weekly payroll are offered as part of a supportive, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be 21 years or older.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality required.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs and crawl in tight spaces.
  • Able to access attic or crawl space through a small opening.
  • Capable of climbing and working from ladders or scaffolding.
  • Proficient with staple guns, hammers, utility knives and power tools.
  • Comfort using PPE (respirators, masks, eye protection, gloves).
  • Experience in insulation/rodent control is a strong plus.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record in last 5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Install insulation and perform rodent proofing and sanitation.
  • Assist with mold remediation and drywall installation/repair as needed.
  • Handle additional tasks to ensure project completion.

Role and Responsibilities

As an Attic and Crawl Space Technician, you will be responsible for installing insulation, conducting rodent proofing and sanitation, performing mold remediation, and assisting with sheetrock/drywall installation and repair. Additionally, you will be expected to handle any other tasks or work that is needed within the project to ensure its successful completion.

Training can be from 5-14 days, depending on your prior experience. Continued training is provided on new OSHA requirements, processes, equipment or materials.

A Sample Day (but not limited to):

  • Start the day at 6am for department safety meetings (time varies by seasons, from Oct. to May it could be 6:45am)
  • Load trucks and prepare materials based on job scope of work
  • Review jobs for the day with crew leads
  • Perform the assigned job at the work site (usually 1 site per day, 7-10+ hours depending on scope of work)
  • Return to the office after completing the job, unload and clean up trucks

Qualifications

You will be successful if you…

  • Are 21 years +
  • Exhibits regular attendance and punctuality
  • Have the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and crawl in small, tight spaces
  • Have the ability to access through a 22"x30" opening of attic or crawl space
  • Able to safely climb and descend or work from ladders, scaffolding or attic stairs
  • Proficient in using staple guns, hammers, utility knives, power tools, industrial vacuums / blowers
  • Able to properly use PPE such as respirators (1/2 or full face), 3M masks, protective eyewear, sound dampening headphones, utility gloves, tyvek suiting, knee pads, etc.
  • Have previous insulation/rodent control experience (strong plus)
  • Possesses communication and customer service skills to interact with customers
  • Owns a valid driver's license with a good driving record within 5 years

Job Type: Full-time, on-site (not remote)

Hourly Pay Range: $21-$24 (other exceptions may exist), varies based on experience level (entry level to expert). Pay may differ across locations

Pay Structure: Bi-weekly paydays with direct deposit
