Job summary

Wisconsin Home Improvement is seeking a Crew Lead / Foreman in Menomonee Falls, WI to guide a small crew through insulation/weatherization projects. You’ll handle attic, wall, basement, and crawlspace work, including air sealing and ventilation improvements, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You’ll use WHI equipment, coordinate with office, document job details, and mentor junior installers. Full-time, Monday–Friday, with competitive pay and career growth potential.

Qualifications

• Previous insulation/weatherization experience, including air sealing and ventilation work.

Responsibilities

• Lead a two–three person crew and ensure insulation projects are completed with accuracy, safety, and professionalism.
• Oversee attic, wall, basement, and crawlspace insulation; air sealing and ventilation improvements; weatherization tasks.
• Operate and maintain WHI-provided equipment and safety tools.
• Perform daily maintenance checks on company vehicles and equipment.
• Communicate project scope, timelines, and post-install details with homeowners.
• Ensure workmanship meets WHI’s standards for quality and customer satisfaction.
• Complete accurate job cards, materials used, photos, ventilation verification, and notes.
• Coordinate with office on scheduling updates, material needs, and site challenges.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and follow safety guidelines.
• Mentor junior installers and help train new crew members.

Position: Crew Lead / Foreman

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

What You’ll Do

As a Crew Lead, you’ll oversee a two–three person crew and ensure every insulation project is completed with accuracy, safety, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead your crew in performing:
  • Attic, wall, basement, and crawlspace insulation
  • Air sealing (attic bypasses, can lights, chases, box sills, top plates, etc.)
  • Ventilation improvements (baffles, ventilation chutes, bath fan venting, attic airflow corrections)
  • Dense pack, blow-in, batt install, and related weatherization tasks
• Operate and maintain WHI-provided equipment: insulation machines, vacuums, power tools, safety tools, and ventilation equipment
• Perform daily maintenance checks on company vehicles and equipment
• Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, explaining project scope, timelines, and post-install details
• Ensure workmanship meets WHI’s high standards for quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
• Complete accurate job cards, materials used, photos, ventilation verification, and project notes
• Coordinate with office staff regarding scheduling updates, material needs, and job-site challenges
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and follow all safety guidelines
• Mentor junior installers and help train new crew members as needed

Required:

• Previous insulation and/or weatherization experience, including air sealing and ventilation work
• Ability to lead and motivate a crew
• Strong communication skills with homeowners
• Comfort using and maintaining insulation and ventilation equipment
• High attention to detail and accurate job card documentation
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred:

• Prior experience as a Lead Installer, Crew Lead, or Foreman
• BPI certified
• Pesticide Applicator's License
• Familiarity with Focus on Energy standards or similar utility program requirements
• Ability to identify ventilation deficiencies and recommend corrections
