This is a full-time position based in Cheshire, CT. As an Insulation and Weatherization Technician, you will work alongside a Crew Lead to install insulation and weatherization measures in customers' homes. Your day will include installing attic and wall insulation, dense-pack insulation, air sealing, rim joist improvements, and ventilation details. You will haul and stage materials, run hoses, and prepare and protect each home before work begins. Throughout the day, you will work in attics, crawlspaces, and other tight spaces that can be hot during the summer and cold during the winter. You will take pride in leaving each home in excellent condition by thoroughly cleaning up when the job is complete so homeowners can barely tell work was performed. As part of your professional development, you will work toward BPI certification, beginning with Building Science Principles training, while the company covers the cost of your certifications, training, and continuing education.
