Job summary

Evonik Corporation in Lafayette, IN is seeking an Instrument Technician to support the Central Maintenance team at Tippecanoe Laboratories. The role focuses on instrumentation maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation to maximize equipment uptime.

You will work with maintenance, reliability, automation, plant/process engineering, and operations, adhere to safety and cGMP (SISPQ) standards, and participate in required training. A $3500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of industrial instrumentation experience.
Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or applicable technical training.
Ability to read and interpret manufacturer service manuals.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent planning, organizational and documentation abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on instrumentation and lab equipment.
Execute preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment compliance.
Accurately document all work activities and time in SAP.
Follow written procedures and verbal instructions while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Learn and apply company policies, procedures, and departmental functions.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including maintenance, engineering, and operations.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to ESHS protocols and PPE requirements.
Respond to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requests as needed.
Ensure compliance with cGMP standards to maintain product quality (SISPQ).
