Job summary

Evonik Corporation in Lafayette, IN seeks an Instrument Technician to join a multi-skilled Central Maintenance team. You’ll perform maintenance and troubleshooting on instrumentation and lab equipment, document activities in SAP, and support safety and quality standards across maintenance, engineering, and operations.

The role requires an associate degree in electronics or technical training and at least two years of instrumentation experience, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of industrial instrumentation experience.
• Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or applicable technical training.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturer service manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on instrumentation and lab equipment.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment compliance.
• Accurately document all work activities and time in SAP.
• Follow written procedures and verbal instructions while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Operator I Production supports capital and maintenance efforts to maximize equipment uptime.
