Job summary

ROUSH in Allen Park, MI is seeking an Instrumentation Technician I to install test equipment in development vehicles, including thermocouples, sensors, and data acquisition systems. You will build and calibrate low voltage wiring harnesses and work under mentorship.

Responsibilities include wiring installation, sensor calibration, collaboration with customers and technicians, performing functional inspections, maintaining records, and keeping tools in good condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Building and installing low voltage automotive and instrumentation wiring harnesses and auxiliary electrical systems.
• Installing, adjusting and calibrating sensors, shunts, fiber optics, accelerometers and data acquisition systems.
• Collaborating with customers, fabricators, and mechanics to identify sensor installation locations.
• Performing functional inspection and prove-out of instrumentation according to IQA.
• Diagnosing and repairing faulty wiring systems.
• Operating with testing and measurement tools like power supplies, function generators, and multimeters.
• Maintaining records by entering notes into service repair requests.
• Keeping shop equipment and work area organized and well-maintained.
• Participating in daily shop organization and cleanup.
