Job summary

ISC Constructors LLC is seeking a positive, energetic instrument technician to join our maintenance-focused team. The role involves calibrating, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing process instruments, while maintaining instruments such as valves and vibration monitors across our facilities.

Applicants should have at least 4 years of craft experience and an Associate's degree in Instrumentation. The position requires passing NCCER Written Skill Assessment and post-offer drug/alcohol tests,

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years craft-specific experience
• Associate's degree in Instrumentation required
• Must be able to pass NCCER Written Skill Assessment
• Must pass post-offer drug/alcohol test and background checks

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and replace process instruments as part of the maintenance program
• Maintain process instruments including valves, vibration monitors and other instruments
• Pressure test pneumatic instruments, controllers, transducers, and valves in service
• Perform troubleshooting on energized motor controls
• Size thermal-overloads, breakers, and fuses
• Evaluate instrument performance for optimization opportunities
• Loop check electrical wiring for continuity and termination
• Field calibrate electronic instruments with transmitters, controllers, transducers, valves, and recorders
• Read one-line schematics, P&IDs, and ladder diagrams
• Use testers like V.O.M., AMP meter, and insulation tester
• Comply with electrical OSHA rules and regulations
• Meet NCCER Written Skill Assessment cut score
• Ability to pass background checks
