Job summary

American Refining Group, Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation Tech Journeyman I to install, calibrate, and maintain control instrumentation across the refinery. You will help convert pneumatic systems to computerized controls and assist with environmental monitoring equipment and on-stream analyses.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, using AutoCAD and Windows-based tools, and collaborating with Engineering and Contractors to support modernization projects. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalence; associate degree in Instrumentation/Electrical/Mechatronics.
2-4 years related refinery maintenance experience desirable.
Must be able to troubleshoot and repair control systems.

Responsibilities

Install, calibrate, monitor and maintain control instrumentation and electronic systems.
Convert pneumatic to computerized control systems refinery-wide.
Program scheduled testing and maintenance of environmental monitoring and analytical equipment.
