Job summary

American Refining Group seeks an Instrumentation Tech Journeyman I to install, calibrate and maintain control instrumentation and electronic systems at the Bradford refinery. You will assist in converting pneumatic to computerized control systems, program monitoring equipment, and troubleshoot on-stream line issues.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with an instrumentation/electrical/mechatronics associate’s degree and 2–4 years refinery maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must troubleshoot and repair control systems from P&ID and diagrams.
• Strong communication and ability to follow instructions.
• Willing to cross-train in electrical/instrumentation to support operations.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, monitor and maintain control instrumentation and electronic systems.
• Help convert pneumatic to computerized control systems refinery-wide.
• Program and maintain environmental monitoring and on-stream equipment.
• Rebuild and calibrate transmitters and control valves.
• Install and maintain loading/unloading equipment and meters.
• Respond to trouble reports and document work orders and materials.
• Update electrical/instrumentation prints in AutoCad and support safety plans.
