Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Instrument Fitter Helper in Spring, TX to install and service instrumentation used to measure and control process variables such as pressure, flow and temperature. The role involves reading blueprints, installing devices, wiring, calibration of recorders and alarms, and maintaining safety standards on industrial sites.

Qualifications

Reads and works from related blueprints and other schematic drawings.
Installs and/or removes various instrumentation devices.
Comprehensive knowledge of pneumatics, electronics and electricity.
Cuts, bends, and installs pipe tubing or conduit for instrument controls.

Responsibilities

Installs instruments, instrument stands and control wiring to valves and tests operation.
Installation and calibration of recorders, alarms, switches and other devices.
May steam trace lines when necessary.
May install flanges and/orifice plates.
May perform other duties to install or troubleshoot instrumentation devices.
