Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, MD. You will perform repairs, maintenance and performance verification of analytical instrumentation, including demo equipment, with travel to support customers.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years diagnosing HPLC/GC/LCMS/AA systems, strong communication skills, and a willingness to travel nationwide as needed. Comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least four years of experience repairing analytical instrumentation (HPLC, GC, LCMS, AA).
• Strong technical knowledge of these technologies.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily repair and maintenance for assigned products.
• Conduct in-house bench repairs as needed while handling field service calls.
• Travel within the local region for customer support, including overnights.
• Provide phone-based technical support on repairs, maintenance and installations.
