  • 2–5 years of instrumentation and controls engineering experience.
  • Experience with instrument specifications, requisitions, P&ID reviews, and field verification.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain instrument indexes, datasheets, specifications, and requisition packages.
  • Review and interpret P&IDs, process data sheets, mechanical drawings, and piping specifications.
  • Prepare instrumentation design deliverables including instrument specifications, installation details, cable schedules, and MTOs.
  • Perform field investigations and site visits to verify existing installations and gather design information.
  • Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and Project teams to develop integrated engineering solutions.
  • Prepare technical bid evaluations and support equipment procurement.
  • Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and project coordination meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with client standards, industry codes and Worley engineering procedures.
  • Support project execution while meeting budget, quality, and schedule requirements.

Summary:

As an Instrumentation Engineer Level II with Worley, you will provide instrumentation and controls engineering support for capital and sustaining projects while applying established engineering principles, company procedures, applicable codes, and client standards. Work independently on routine assignments and under guidance on complex tasks.

Purpose:

The Instrumentation Engineer Level II will perform instrumentation engineering activities in support of EPC design, procurement, and project execution.

This role requires coordination with process, controls, electrical, mechanical, piping, procurement, supplier, project, quality, and client teams to resolve technical issues and deliver complete design packages.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain instrument indexes, datasheets, specifications, and requisition packages.
  • Review and interpret P&IDs, process data sheets, mechanical drawings, and piping specifications.
  • Prepare instrumentation design deliverables, including:
    • Instrument specifications.
    • Installation details.
    • Cable schedules.
    • Material take-offs (MTOs).
  • Perform field investigations and site visits to verify existing installations and gather design information.
  • Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and Project teams to develop integrated engineering solutions.
  • Prepare technical bid evaluations and support equipment procurement activities.
  • Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and project coordination meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with client standards, industry codes, and Worley engineering procedures.
  • Support project execution while meeting budget, quality, and schedule requirements.
What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

  • Instrument specification development.
  • Instrument requisition and procurement support.
  • P&ID review and markups.
  • Field verification and as-built development.
  • Technical bid evaluations.
  • Client communication and project coordination.
  • Understanding of ISA, API, NEC, and industry engineering practices.
  • Approximately 2 to 5 years of instrumentation and controls engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of refinery, petrochemical, chemical, LNG, power, or industrial facilities.
  • Familiarity with control valves, transmitters, analyzers, SIS systems, DCS systems, and field instrumentation.
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation Engineering.

Preferred:

  • Related engineering discipline.
