Job summary

Worley is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer Level II in Baton Rouge, LA to provide instrumentation and controls support for EPC design and project execution. You will develop instrument data sheets, review P&IDs, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complete design packages.

The role emphasizes independent work on routine tasks and collaboration with process, electrical, mechanical, and procurement teams while ensuring compliance with client standards and Worley procedures.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 2 to 5 years of instrumentation and controls engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of refinery, petrochemical, chemical, LNG, power, or industrial facilities.
  • Familiarity with control valves, transmitters, analyzers, SIS systems, DCS systems, and field instrumentation.
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain instrument indexes, datasheets, specifications, and requisition packages.
  • Review and interpret P&IDs, process data sheets, mechanical drawings, and piping specifications.
  • Instrument specifications.
  • Material take-offs (MTOs).
  • Perform field investigations and site visits to verify existing installations and gather design information.
  • Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and Project teams to develop integrated engineering solutions.
  • Prepare technical bid evaluations and support equipment procurement activities.
  • Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and project coordination meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with client standards, industry codes, and Worley engineering procedures.
  • Support project execution while meeting budget, quality, and schedule requirements.

Summary:

As an Instrumentation Engineer Level II with Worley, you will provide instrumentation and controls engineering support for capital and sustaining projects while applying established engineering principles, company procedures, applicable codes, and client standards. Work independently on routine assignments and under guidance on complex tasks.

Purpose:

The Instrumentation Engineer Level II will perform instrumentation engineering activities in support of EPC design, procurement, and project execution.
This role requires coordination with process, controls, electrical, mechanical, piping, procurement, supplier, project, quality, and client teams to resolve technical issues and deliver complete design packages.
