Job summary

Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to support VX-20, focusing on complex data acquisition systems for flight test operations in Patuxent River, MD.

Responsibilities include instrumentation design, integration, calibration, flight support, and managing small to medium projects while coordinating with DoW programs and customer leadership. Requires 1–3 years' experience and DoD clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• BS in Physics or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 1–3 years of experience minimum; more experience desired.
• Experience with flight test instrumentation: design, programming, data handling.
• Recent flight test instrumentation experience with programming/validation tools desired.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft SharePoint.
• Current driver's license and ability to be insured for work vehicles.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoW Secret Security Clearance and maintain it.
• Must pass background screening (SSN, Driver Record, Criminal).

Responsibilities

• Support VX-20 for E-2D and P-8 in operations and testing.
• Instrumentation system design, integration, calibration, and flight support.
• Manage small to medium instrumentation projects with cost, schedule and performance oversight.
• Design, programming, and build of instrumentation through ground/flight tests; data validation and playback.
