Placements24 is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer for a critical project role. This position offers remote work with occasional site visits as needed.

You will specify, design, and implement instrumentation and control solutions for complex industrial plants, leveraging deep knowledge of process measurement, control loops, and safety instrumented systems (SIS) to ensure reliability and safety.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
• 6+ years of experience in instrumentation engineering in process industries (mining, chemical, oil & gas).
• Knowledge of instrumentation types, operations, and hazardous areas.
• Experience with SIL assessment and SIS design.
• Familiarity with DCS and PLC systems.
• Excellent report writing and remote communication skills.

Responsabilidades

About the Role

Our client requires an experienced Instrumentation Engineer for a critical project role, offering a remote work arrangement with occasional site visits if needed. You will be responsible for specifying, designing, and implementing instrumentation and control solutions for complex industrial plants. This role demands a deep understanding of process measurement, control loops, and safety instrumented systems (SIS) to ensure plant reliability and safety. You will contribute to optimizing operational performance through precise and reliable instrumentation, working independently and managing your project deliverables effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Specify, select, and procure instrumentation for process control applications, including transmitters, valves, and analyzers.
• Design and implement control loops and safety instrumented systems (SIS) according to industry standards (e.g., IEC 61508).
• Develop calibration procedures, maintenance strategies, and troubleshooting guides for instrumentation.
• Review vendor documentation, drawings, and technical proposals for instrumentation packages.
• Collaborate with project teams and site personnel to ensure successful installation and commissioning of instrumentation.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in instrumentation technology and process control.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in instrumentation engineering , particularly in process industries (e.g., mining, chemical, oil & gas).
• Strong knowledge of various instrumentation types, principles of operation, and application in hazardous areas.
• Experience with SIL assessment and SIS design .
• Familiarity with DCS and PLC systems.
• Excellent report writing and remote communication skills .
