Job summary

Hereford Ethanol Partners in Hereford, Texas, seeks an Electrical Instrumentation Technician to perform maintenance across instrumentation, electrical systems, PLC/DCS programming and troubleshooting, reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

You will respond to changing plant conditions, repair motors, VFDs, valves and sensors, work with Maximo CMMS, and ensure safe, efficient production while complying with safety and process standards.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Strong electrical experience is required.
PLC/DCS knowledge and programming skills.
Experience with arc and MIG welding.
Familiar with Maximo CMMS.
Ability to read electrical diagrams.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Ability to work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

Perform instrumentation and electrical repair and troubleshooting.
Repair motors, motor starters, VFDs, wiring and conduits.
Troubleshoot PLC/DCS systems and plant boiler controls.
Program PLC/DCS systems.
Calibrate and adjust instrumentation to control process variables.
Work 60-70% on instrumentation/electrical repairs and installations.
Observe safety protocols and work at height safety.
