Job summary

Harba Solutions Inc. is seeking a skilled Electrician/Technician to perform routine and corrective maintenance on 4160V and 480V electrical systems, including motor control centers and VFDs.

The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations in an industrial setting. You will read P&ID drawings, follow safety protocols, document work in CMMS, and be prepared for overtime and outdoor work in seasonal conditions.

Qualifications

  • Experience with 4160V and 480V systems is required.
  • HSD or equivalent is required.
  • Post-offer physical may be required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship not provided.
  • Experience troubleshooting instrumentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance on high-voltage electrical systems (4160V/480V).
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on motor control centers, VFDs, and PLCs.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Complete modifications and new installations of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Read and interpret P&ID drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Document all work in CMMS per good documentation practices.
  • Willing to respond to call-ins and overtime as needed.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds and work outdoors in varying temperatures.

Job description

  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance on 4160V and 480V electrical systems, including circuit breakers, medium-voltage switchgear, motor starters, fuses, and ground fault interrupters.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on complex electrical systems such as motor control centers, variable-frequency drives, and programmable logic controllers.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical equipment issues, performing repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Complete modifications and new installations of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Resolve complex electrical faults to restore equipment and systems to full operating condition.
  • Install and replace major electrical components, including motor control centers and main switchgear.
  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance on process instrumentation, including temperature, pressure, flow, and automated control valves.
  • Troubleshoot process instrumentation issues and complete repairs to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Carry out modifications and new installations of process instrumentation.
  • Read and interpret P&ID drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain compliance with applicable regulatory manufacturing standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed in accordance with good documentation practices.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with 4160V and 480V electrical systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a post-offer physical/exam may be required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • Experience troubleshooting and installing various types of instrumentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude required.
  • Solid foundational electrical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot basic circuits and equipment.
  • Willingness to respond to call-ins and work scheduled overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying temperature conditions across all seasons.
  • Experience maintaining circuit breakers, medium-voltage switchgear, motor starters, and fuses.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with a CMMS or similar work order tracking system.
