Qualifications

What you’ll do

As an I&E Technician at our CO₂-to-acetic acid fermentation plant, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment. You will play a key role during commissioning and ongoing operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level).
  • Support PLC system commissioning, optimization, and maintenance activities.
  • Perform installation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical equipment up to 480V (motors, panels, MCCs, VFDs).
  • Wire in new equipment (pumps, VFDs) as needed.
  • Assist with loop checks, functional testing, and commissioning punch list resolution.
  • Support development and refinement of I&E maintenance procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineers to support safe, reliable plant automation and controls.
  • Maintain documentation of I&E systems, calibrations, and maintenance activities.

About you

  • Practical experience with instrumentation and electrical systems in chemical, process, or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of process instrumentation.
  • Experience working with PLCs and control systems.
  • Understanding of safe work practices related to electrical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
