Evotherm Instrumentation & Electrical Technician

Summary:

  • Installing and troubleshooting Ingevity Evotherm pumps and tanks at various asphalt manufacturing sites in Texas
  • Remote role with at least 40% travel, company vehicle provided
  • Preferred candidate will reside in San Antonio, Austin, or Dallas, TX

Details:

How You Will Impact Ingevity

• Have a solid understanding of asphalt plant PLC controls and operating systems
• Be able to install, calibrate and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems into asphalt plant or asphalt terminal controls
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Ensure the proper function of pumps, VFDs, and flow measurement devices utilized on Evotherm pump skids
• You will be accountable for the reliability of the delivery system and will install, calibrate, and operate the metering equipment during projects.
• Have a complete understanding of the Evotherm pump systems and be able to change individual components as needed for job
• Have a complete understanding and the ability to install tank telemetry level control systems
• Collaborate with plant engineers, electricians, and operators to optimize system performance
• Perform all work to the highest standards of safety
• Maintain accurate records on maintenance and installation of Evotherm equipment
• You will need to work well withing a team and possess good communication skills

What You Need To Succeed

• Associates degree or technical certification in industrial electronics, instrumentation automation, or related field
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with pumps, motors, process flow instrumentation
• Asphalt plant experience a plus but not required
• Clean driving record
• Willingness to work outdoors in industrial environments
• Willingness to travel
• Job location is South Mid-Continent (TX,OK,NM,LA) with candidate preferably located in TX
