Job summary

Linde plc seeks a skilled technician to support instrumentation and control systems at our River Rouge facility in Michigan. You will install, commission, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain critical process equipment to ensure reliable operations and safety.

Responsibilities include documenting work orders and calibration records, reading piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and applying control logic to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least five years of experience in process control instrumentation.
• Proficient with electrical and instrumentation hand tools, meters, calibration equipment, and knowledge of electricity and motors.
• Able to read piping and instrumentation diagrams and schematic wiring diagrams; strong planning and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills and clear reporting and collaboration abilities.
• Maintenance and minor repairs on low voltage electrical systems and calibration of process analytical equipment.
• Able to meet physical requirements including confined space entry, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide onsite support with focus on critical safety systems and system reliability.
• Assist in installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems.
• Perform calibrations, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations of instrumentation for reliability.
• Prepare and maintain documentation such as work orders, service reports, and calibration records.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain pneumatic and electronic process control instrumentation with full repair history.
• Utilize control logic drawings to troubleshoot complex process control systems and support reliability improvements.

What you will enjoy doing*

• Youwill provide planning and onsite support with a strong focus on criticalsafety systems and system reliability
• Asist in installation, commissioning, maintenance,troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems
• In this role you will perform calibrations, troubleshooting, repairs, andinstallations of instrumentation to ensure accurate and reliableperformance
• Take responsibility for preparing and maintaining documentation such aswork orders, service reports, and calibration records while executingrequired administrative tasks
• Additionally, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain pneumatic andelectronic process control instrumentation, including predictive programinstrumentation with full repair history documentation
• Utilize control logic drawings to troubleshoot complex processcontrol systems and support continuous improvement of reliability

What makes you great

• Youwill hold a High School Diploma or equivalent and bring at least five (5) yearsof experience in process control instrumentation
• Demonstrate strong proficiency with electrical andinstrumentation hand tools, meters, calibration equipment, and workingknowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and motors
• In addition you should be able to read and understand piping andinstrumentation diagrams and schematic wiring diagrams while exhibitingstrong planning and organizational skills
• Bring strong computer skills and effective written and verbal communicationabilities to support clear reporting and collaboration
• Additionally, perform maintenance and minor repairs on low voltageelectrical systems, calibrate process analytical equipment, and troubleshootautomatic control valves and electronic control systems
• You are able to meet the physical requirements of the role, includingconfined space entry, climbing, lifting up to fifty pounds, and working atheights
• Available to work extended hours when business needs arise
• Demonstrate the flexibility to support weekend, holiday,and call‑in coverage
• Ensure a reliable and safety‑focused presence during criticaloperational periods
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the role, includingconfined space entry, climbing, lifting up to fifty pounds, and working atheights
