Serves as a Fayetteville plant instrumentation technician. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and documenting plant process instrumentation and control systems. Strives to enhance knowledge of PLC and HMI systems. Ensures work is captured in SAP maintenance module system. Participates in plant safety, environmental, and production programs, including improvement teams. Assists with maintenance activities as necessary.
High school graduate or equivalent is required. Post Secondary education certificate or degree required (experience may be considered in lieu of degree). AS degree in Electronics Technology or Instrumentation preferred. 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment as electronics, instrumentation or approved maintenance/electrical technician required. Experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming and I/O equipment a plus.
Physical: Walking, driving, standing, lifting 55 pounds repeatedly, sitting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, fingering, talking, hearing, and seeing. Ability to enter confined spaces and wear a respirator.
Aptitudes: Must possess the ability to understand the meaning of words and their ideas, as well as instructions and their underlying principles. Perform arithmetic operations quickly and accurately and possess eye-hand motor coordination.
Temperaments: Must have the ability to accept responsibility, perform duties under stress, adapt to situations requiring preciseness, and adapt to changing duties and responsibilities.
