Job summary

Nouryon in Texas seeks an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead I&E maintenance in a chemical/process plant. You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate daily work, drive reliability, and ensure safety and electrical standards across site power systems up to 480 V.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 10+ years in I&E with 8+ in maintenance, and strong leadership, troubleshooting, and design skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years of I&E experience with at least 8 years in maintenance.
• Supervision experience mandatory.
• Troubleshooting, control system and instrumentation design.
• Troubleshooting and design of electrical power systems up to 480V.
• Basic understanding of radiation safety (fixed gauges).
• Basic understanding of 12.47kV–138kV maintenance and design.
• NNCER in instrumentation and electrical a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop maintenance personnel, ensuring the team has the appropriate skills and capabilities.
• Oversee daily maintenance activities, schedules, and contractor performance to ensure efficient execution.
• Develop and implement equipment maintenance strategies to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Ensure preventive maintenance activities are properly documented, scheduled, and completed on time.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement improvements to maintenance practices and equipment reliability.
• Ensure electrical safety and proper maintenance of site power distribution equipment in compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.

About the job

The Maintenance I&E Supervisor will lead instrumentation and electrical maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operations. Responsibilities include supervising and developing maintenance personnel, overseeing daily maintenance execution, improving equipment reliability, ensuring preventive maintenance compliance, supporting capital projects, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations and electrical standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive I&E maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead teams in a plant environment.

In your future role as Instrumentation & Electrical Maintenance Supervisor you will:

We believe you bring High School Diploma or GED 10+ years of I&E experience, with at least 8 in maintenance organizations. Supervision experience mandatory. Ability to troubleshoot, specify and design control system and instrumentation. Ability to troubleshoot, specify, and design electrical power systems up to and including 480V. Basic understanding of radiation safety as it pertains to fixed gauges. Basic understanding of 12.47kV – 138kV maintenance and design.

Great if you have NNCER in instrumentation and electrical a plus.

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Maintenance Manager based in La Porte, TX.
