Siemens Energy is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented I&C (Instrumentation and Control) Controls Test Engineer to join our SiETAC Assembly Center team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and validating instrumentation and control systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Develop and implement testing procedures to verify the functionality and performance of I&C systems.
- Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues or defects in the control systems.
- Ensure that all I&C systems meet industry standards and Siemens Energy quality requirements.
- Perform root cause analysis on any identified issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records of test procedures, results, and any modifications made to the systems.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on system performance, issues encountered, and solutions implemented.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of I&C systems.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in testing and validation.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in instrumentation and control systems.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in testing and validating I&C systems.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with T3000 control systems.
- Validated experience in solving and resolving technical issues in control systems.
- Understanding of instrumentation and control system principles and components.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Siemens Energy I&C systems.
- Understanding industry norms in I&C system testing and validation.
- Certification in control systems engineering or related fields.
- This position may require occasional travel to client sites for installation and support.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed for testing and validation tasks.
