Job summary

Onward Energy is seeking an O&M Technician I for the Fountain Valley Facility in Fountain, CO. The role involves operating, testing, and maintaining a 240 MW simple cycle gas plant, including DCS and CEMS systems.

You will assist with planning, reporting, and equipment calibration under supervision. The position requires a two-year technical degree and at least five years of power plant or industrial electrical/electronics experience; GE Mark VI and ABB INFI 90 experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree required (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years’ power plant and/or industrial electrical, instrumentation or electronics experience.
• Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and related hardware is expected.
• Strong knowledge of control drawings, P&IDs and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations, testing, maintenance, and admin tasks on a DCS and associated field devices including CEMS for a gas power plant.
• Maintain and calibrate plant instrumentation and control devices.
• Review P&ID drawings and logic diagrams; prepare reports and documentation as required.
• Produce procedures for instrumentation and electrical systems; ensure compliance with policies.
