Job summary

Onward Energy is seeking an Instrument & Control Technician II (Senior Technician) at the Fountain, Colorado site to operate, test, and maintain the plant's DCS and CEMS systems.

The role requires a two-year technical degree and 5+ years of relevant experience with DCS, GE Mark VI, ABB INFI 90, PLCs, and CEMS controls; strong problem-solving skills are essential.

You will work under the O&M Manager, ensure safety, prepare reports, and support continuous plant operations.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree and 5+ years of power plant/instrumentation experience.
• Experience with DCS, GE Mark VI, ABB INFI 90, PLCs, and CEMS controls.
• Ability to interpret P&ID drawings and instrument diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations, testing, maintenance of DCS and CEMS at the plant.
• Maintain calibration and repair of instrumentation and control devices.
• Review P&ID drawings and logic diagrams; prepare reports.
• Coordinate job planning and activities with O&M Manager.
• Follow safety policies and work with cross-functional teams.
