Job summary

Johnson Matthey is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Technician at our New Jersey site. You will manage instrumentation and control activities, ensuring accurate test data and compliance with TCAP/DPCC regulations.

You’ll troubleshoot, calibrate, and document equipment and support safety and environmental standards. The role requires hands-on work with sensors, valves, PLC/HMI interfaces, and process control systems, with collaboration across production teams and engineering.

Qualifications

H.S Diploma or Equivalent.
Understanding of Instrumentation Calibration and Documentation
Understanding of Linear / Rotation
Understanding of pH, ORP
Understanding of Pressure and Vacuum
Understanding of Temperature and Humidity
Understanding of Liquid Level
Understanding of Timers
Understanding of Control Valves
Understanding of Gas Monitors
Understanding of General Meters
Understanding of Liquid / Gas Flow
Understanding of Calipers – Desired
Understanding of Fume Hood Face Velocity - Desired
Understanding of Industrial HVAC Systems – Desired

Responsibilities

Perform duties safely and in compliance with site policies and procedures.
Understand controls with electrical low voltage, 120 VAC, 24 VDC and PID control tuning.
Troubleshoot, inspect, test, maintain, repair, clean and calibrate instrumentation.
Interact with Production Supervisors and Operators; assist in developing maintenance procedures.
Provide technical guidance on instrumentation and control equipment.
Maintain, troubleshoot and calibrate process control systems.
Support RC 14001, ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements.
