The University of Texas at Austin on UT Main Campus is seeking a Temporary Instrument and Controls Technician I for Utilities and Energy Management. The role is 40 hours weekly, non-exempt, with an immediate start date and a projected end date of August 31, 2027.

Hourly rate is $25.00. Work schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday–Thursday, with varying Friday hours; benefits eligibility applies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years related apprentice-level experience in instrumentation and control systems.

Responsabilités

• Assist in installation, retrofit, and modification of campus instrumentation and control systems.
• Maintain ISA safety practices and follow safety policies.
• Perform tasks safely with PPE and report hazards.
• Work around hazardous materials and in confined spaces.
• Operate equipment such as bridge-cranes, hoists, forklifts as required.
