Job summary

ENGIE is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Manager to lead a team of I&C technicians at the Central Utility Plant, driving upgrades and maintenance for complex control systems. You will collaborate with IT/OT, network and cybersecurity teams and report to the Maintenance Manager.

Daily site work, travel up to 10%, and a strong focus on safety are required. Responsibilities include overseeing PLC/SCADA/HMI systems, preventive maintenance, and deployment of AVEVA, Allen Bradley, and WebCTRL

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of instrumentation, controls or related operations experience.
• Alternatively, HS diploma/GED with 6+ years of instrumentation, controls and metering experience and ability to lead activities and develop others.
• Understanding of automation systems including PLCs, SCADA, and HMI, plus ability to read P&ID.

Responsibilities

• Review, commission, upgrade, troubleshoot, expand, maintain, and operate ENGIE control systems and data acquisition.
• Supervise I&C technicians and assist in system maintenance and fault analysis.
• Lead installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of plant control systems and networks.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance for all plant instruments and control equipment.
• Deploy and manage multiple control and data acquisition systems including AVEVA, Allen Bradley, and WebCTRL.
• Create reports and alarms based on operations needs; respond to critical plant events.
