Job summary

AEP is seeking engineers and engineering technologists to perform complex engineering work under supervision, applying engineering knowledge safely and economically to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities include assisting higher-level engineers, coordinating tasks, planning project activities, and preparing reports and technical documents. Entry-level knowledge with guidance is expected, with opportunities to develop leadership and licensing credentials.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or equivalent.
• 2+ years of related engineering experience.
• Master's degree may be considered for entry into the organization.
• PE license or eligibility may be required for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex engineering work and projects under supervision.
• Applies engineering knowledge to solve defined problems safely and economically.
• Coordinates work activities and collaborates with teammates and supervisors.
• Prepares reports and technical documentation as needed.

Education

ABET-accredited engineering degree

2+ years of related engineering experience

Master's degree in engineering (ABET-accredited program) may be considered for entry

Bachelor's in Engineering Technology with PE license (if applicable)
