Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Instrumentation and Control Engineer for onsite Addison, TX. You will establish instrumentation scope, translate customer specs into control-system requirements, and design electrical/instrumentation layouts for process equipment packages.

You will program PLCs/HMIs, develop sequence logic and PID loops, review third-party designs, and support commissioning and startup activities. International travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 4+ years instrumentation and controls experience in manufacturing environment.
• Experience designing instrumentation and control systems for oil and gas process equipment packages.
• Hands-on experience programming and debugging PLCs and HMIs.
• Familiarity with hazardous-area classifications and electrical/instrumentation layouts.

Responsibilities

• Establish the instrumentation and controls scope and detailed requirements for equipment-package projects.
• Review customer specifications and translate them into technical control-system requirements.
• Prepare specifications for third-party control-system design and manufacturing providers.
• Review and manage third-party deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Design, develop, and debug PLC programs, HMI applications, sequence logic, PID loops, and electrical control systems.
• Produce accurate 2D and 3D AutoCAD general arrangement drawings.
