Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our growing Life Sciences and industrial teams.

The role supports projects across multiple offices (Conshohocken, PA; Cincinnati, OH; Cary, NC; Indianapolis, IN) and requires leading design, testing, and startup of process automation systems. You will design electrical circuits and control panels, mentor colleagues, and coordinate with multi-discipline teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
• 7+ years of instrumentation and control design experience in industrial private-sector clients such as pharmaceutical/biotech/chemical industries preferred.
• Experience in design, testing and startup of industrial process automation systems.
• Experience with industrial process control networking including Fieldbus technologies.
• Control panel design with UL508A knowledge.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to interface with all levels of personnel and management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of electrical circuits and panels using control applications.
• Develop control system designs for a variety of processes and optimize instrumentation and automation.
• Mentor other professionals and coordinate with multi-discipline designers.
• Provide on-site startup support and ensure schedule and technical quality.
