Job summary
CPP in Albany, OR is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer I to support the reliability, maintenance, and improvement of control systems across our titanium casting operations.
You will work with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to troubleshoot equipment, calibrate instrumentation, and participate in projects involving furnaces, heat treat systems, and process controls. This is ideal for recent graduates.
The company offers hands-on development in a world-class aerospace supplier.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field is required.
- 1–3 years of professional engineering experience or internships.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Support troubleshooting and maintenance of PLC-controlled equipment.
- Calibrate, install, and repair instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, level).
- Support control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and process monitoring systems.
- Analyze equipment failures and assist with root cause investigations.
- Help improve equipment reliability, process performance, and uptime.
- Assist with commissioning, startup, and testing of new or upgraded equipment.
- Develop and maintain electrical drawings, loop diagrams, calibration records, and documentation.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel, contractors, and vendors on installations.
- Support plant safety initiatives and compliance with standards.
