Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products Corp (CPP) seeks a Facilities Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to support PLC-based control systems, plant instrumentation, and high-temperature foundry processes at our Albany, Oregon site. You’ll work hands-on with furnaces, autoclaves, wax presses, shell-building, leaching, and heat-treat operations.

Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and SCADA systems (Ignition preferred) is highly valued; strong wiring, schematics, and project management skills are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering preferred.
• Oregon LME license or higher preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain PLC control systems for foundry equipment and facility utilities.
• Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix using ladder logic and related languages.
• Support plant instrumentation including sensors, transmitters, actuators, and safety circuits.
• Integrate or support Ignition SCADA systems; Inductive Automation experience preferred.
• Lead modernization projects including PLC/HMI upgrades and migration of legacy platforms.
• Improve equipment reliability and process stability across melting, shell building, leaching, heat treat, and related operations.
• Create and maintain wiring diagrams, loop drawings, instrumentation schematics, and engineering docs.
• Oversee contractors during instrumentation installations, commissioning, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, IT, and Engineering on process optimization and data analysis.
