Atlas Copco North America LLC is seeking a Controls Engineer to support controls and project teams. You will read customer specs, lead technical discussions, and guide panel designs while applying NEC, IEC, ATEX, UL, CSA standards to compressor control systems.

With 5+ years of experience, you will run projects independently, manage customer relations, and contribute to design reviews to ensure accurate and complete deliverables.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in controls engineering.
• Ability to run projects independently and manage customer relations.
• Understanding of NEC and relevant industry standards.

Your role

As a Controls Engineer, your mission is to provide support to the controls and project teams. You will report to the Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer.

You will

• Read and describe customer specs and incorporate them into designs
• Lead technical discussions with customers and sub-vendors while providing accurate technical answers on engineering issues
• Direct panel designs to internalsystems
• Understand and apply electrical industry standards (NEC, IEC, ATEX, UL, CSA, etc.) to compressor instrumentation and control systems
• Conduct design review meetings to ensure the completeness and the accureacy of the control system deliverables and ensure designs comply with relevant work instructions and/or international standards

You have at least 5 years of experience and can demonstrate:

• Ability to run projects independently
• Customer relations experience
• Understanding of NEC
• Proficiency of MS Office and AutoCAD
