Sika is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join its Sealy, TX team for Roofing Operations. The role focuses on maintaining, implementing, and modifying PLC/equipment interfaces, data collection, and support for electrical instruments within plant operations.

Responsibilities include improving efficiency, monitoring line systems, and ensuring data flow from shop floor networks to MES and SAP.

Qualifications

• Mechanical / Electrical Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Rockwell ControlLogix Software is required, Siemens is a plus.
• Knowledge of Rockwell FactoryTalk View and Wonderware.
• 2 years minimum related work experience in a related field.
• Control System design and modifications, equipment design and manufacturing, plant network design and support.
• Experience in PLC programming, and HMI development.

• Support and monitoring of extrusion coating lines, mixing plants, and winder software/PLC interface systems.
• Maintain all process data collection from the shop floor network utilizing PLCs that feed the MES interface to the SAP system.
• Implementation of plant wide communications/monitoring for Manufacturing Management.
• Networking of plant wide raw material monitoring for manufacturing planning and inventory.
• Development of 24 hour/day support for M61 extrusion coating line (PLC Controlled production line).

Job Description

Sika is looking for an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join it's growing team in Sealy, TX for Roofing Operations. The Instrumentation and Controls Engineeris responsible for the maintenance, implementation, and modifications of all software-controlled PLC/equipment interfaces, data collection as well as the support of other standard electrical instruments and controls involved in the plant operations.
