Satisfactory completion of a related educational certificate, program, or degree; and/or comparable work experience, plus formal training in this area.
At least 3–5 years of experience as an instrument technician, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
Ability to interact with colleagues and internal customers; reliable with excellent attendance.
Able to work overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

Full responsibility under supervisor for the operation of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic instruments, gauges, or controls.
Install, adjust, maintain, repair, and overhaul instruments and related equipment.
Overhaul cannery instruments, controls, and related instruments; test, time and calibrate for efficiency.
Read blueprints, charts, sketches, and operating instructions and proceed accordingly.
Keep maintenance records on instruments and requisition parts as needed.
